Belvoir Group PLC (AIM:BLV) said it appointed Jonathon Di-Stefano as a new non-executive director. He will join the audit committee and be chair of the remuneration committee.
The UK property franchise, which is listed on the AIM exchange, said Di-Stefano will begin his new role from 1 April.
“We anticipate that Jon’s experience… will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the board’s successful growth strategy for the Belvoir Group,” Dorian Gonsalves, chief executive, said.
Jon has over 19 years’ experience in property, having joined Telford Homes in 2002 where he served as finance director until 2011 and as chief executive from 2011 to now.
At Telford, Di-Stefano helped grow the business, which resulted in significant profit increases and value for shareholders, eventually culminating in its acquisition by CBRE Group Inc in 2019 for £267mln, a statement said.
Di-Stefano was a director at Urban&Civic PLC from 2017 to 2021, serving on its audit, remuneration, nomination, and governance committees.
“Jon brings a wealth of knowledge of the property sector including areas very complementary to Belvoir’s existing business,” Gonsalves added.
Shares in Belvoir eased 1.4% to 241.6p on Friday morning.
