Indian indices witnessed a negative start on Thursday. The previous three sessions saw the key indices extend gains. Strong earnings from US tech firms on Wednesday helped global stocks close higher. The OPEC+ plans for moderate oil output helped to counter jitters over weak economic reports. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.63% and the S&P 500 gained 0.94%. The Nasdaq Composite added 0.5%. Crude oil eyed seven-year highs and the dollar eased. In Asia, among the few markets that are open, shares in South Korea advanced over 2%, while Japan and Australia witnessed decline.

Godrej Properties on Thursday said its consolidated net profit in December quarter nearly tripled to ₹38.95 crore.
Its net profit stood at ₹14.35 crore in the same period of 2020-21.

Triveni Engineering Q3 profit rises
Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (TEIL) has reported a 37% rise in its consolidated net profit to ₹130.12 crore for the December 2021 quarter on higher revenue.
The net profit of the company, which is into sugar and engineering businesses, stood at ₹94.66 crore in the year-ago period.

Tata Power has partnered with Apollo Tyres to deploy electric vehicle charging stations at the latter’s commercial and passenger vehicle zones across India.
